Emilio Valenzuela and Chapel Hill Interschool Spelling Bee

Last Thursday, February 12 th , Emilio Valenzuela School was invited to participate in an international event in which two of our fifth-grade students faced students from Chapel Hill Preparatory in Dallas, Texas.

Our students Pedro Luis Solano and Juliana Herrera Gil faced four rounds of really hard native words showed their confidence and determination to do their best achieving to get to the third round. However, our contenders Vincent and Anthony who seemed to be well-trained got the finals.

We are so proud of participating in this first international event in which we demonstrated that hard work works. Hopefully, we will join other events to keep up with our academic commitment and to be part of worldwide educational experiences.
